The play is supported by Malvern Theatres and the Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham, and will be performed at Malvern Theatres on Wednesday, April 30, and Thursday, May 1 and at The Everyman Cheltenham on Friday, May 2, and Saturday, May 3.

In Veritas follows the story of three friends on the brink of university, celebrating New Year's Eve on top of the Malvern Hills during the Covid-19 pandemic.   10 years later, in Cheltenham, one of them is striving to develop a technology that can accurately detect lies.  As the friends reconvene for another New Year, debates about the implications of a 'truth machine' unfold, leading to dramatic revelations and consequences.  The play explores themes of friendship, truth, and the secrets we keep.

Cathie has previously written plays with The Unapologetics (Severn Playwrights), including An Unexplored Country, a play about mental health in the 1950s, and a children's play for Forest of Dean Hedgehog Rescue.

In 2024, her short play Jupiter was selected as part of the 150th Anniversary of Holst and was produced by a joint venture with The Everyman Theatre and The Playhouse Theatre Cheltenham, sponsored by Arts Council England.
