Thursday Evening Writers’ Group members meet every Thursday evening between 7 and 9 pm (with breaks for holiday periods). The venue is a short walk from Cirencester town centre; free on-site parking is available.
It is an informal and friendly group, writers of poetry and verse, short and longer fiction, and memoir are all represented. Each of us is invited to read their piece if they wish. We do offer feedback, but always in a positive and supportive way. (We try to keep to around 1500 words maximum, so all who have brought something to read are given time to do so.) We share ideas for new work, useful writing tips and information on upcoming competitions.
The cost of using the room is shared equally between those members who attend on the night. There is a small charge to cover the fee for room hire. (No more than approximately £3 each.)
We welcome new members - experienced writers, fledgling writers and complete novices. Contact Maggie Goddard if you would like to know more: magpie32bl@protonmail.com
