The Price of Coal by Mary Lay

The Price of Coal is the second in the series by Cheltenham-based author, Mary Lay,  relating Caroline's adventures.  The story continues in 1926 where a change in circumstances sees her living in a new apartment in Cheltenham and meeting some interesting new neighbours. With a backdrop of the General Strike, causing Caroline to reconsider her position in life, and a growing band of suitors clamouring for her attention, she attends an artists' retreat in Cornwall. It's a trip that will change her life in more ways than one.
Available on Amazon, Ko-Fi, and as a signed paperback through Mary's website marylaystories.com for £9.99 plus postage.
