Sabrinensis Chamber Choir are holding a concert about the poet Edward Thomas at Dymock Church at 11.30am on Saturday 23rd September. Coffee and cake (included in the £15 ticket price) will be served from 11.00am. There is an extensive permanent exhibition about the Dymock poets at the west end of the church.
This is the second performance of this programme; the first was well received at the Three Choirs Festival in Gloucester in July. “I found the whole event profoundly moving …. , and actually cried throughout. Adelestrop was one of my mum's favourite poems and I cried for her and also for the futility of war and a longing for the old ways in the English countryside.”

You can also buy tickets at the door.
After the concert you are welcome to join us for lunch at the Beauchamp Arms in Dymock (right by the church), followed by a 2 mile walk which passes the houses where Edward Thomas, Robert Frost and Eleanor Farjeon stayed in 1914.
