This group was set up by Leonard Custard, apprentice clown, Maggie Clutterbuck, Forest Bard & variety star Darren Hoskins who decided there was a gap in the Forest of Dean for writers, poets, performers, story tellers etc.
The Bream Coffee shop agreed to host a regular monthly evening and since then they have enjoyed healthy audiences, somewhere between 20 and 40 + gathering to take part and support a series of special guests and a growing ensemble of local writers.
Shunted onto Zoom last year 'Oh Crumbs' "a lively accessible spoken word event" continues to offer live space for poets, story tellers and performers.
With a Thursday evening spot every 2 weeks from 8pm they have welcomed performances from many places, live stories from Iran, Donegal, Cardiff, rants from London, tales from Ruardean, Salford, poems from Bream, Gloucester, usually a special guest on alternate weeks and open mike every time.
