TwoCan Connect is returning!

Date published: October 2, 2026

We’re really excited to take the next steps in building a network completely BY and FOR DDN (Disabled, Deaf and Neurodivergent) creatives in Gloucestershire.

Our first TwoCan Connect event on 28th July was a huge success - with over 20 creatives from across the county gathering to connect, be heard and dream of a more accessible future together.

We’re now busy planning the next lunchtime event for 4th November, once again hosted at the brilliant PATCH in Gloucester as a central, accessible location.

As a disabled-led event we have aimed to design this event with access as a priority, offering the following at the event as standard.

  • BSL Interpretation
  • Fully wheelchair-accessible venue & toilet
  • Quiet space
  • Assistance dogs welcome
  • Access Workers to assist with refreshments and note taking (NOT personal care)
  • Invitation to send additional requirements/access riders

AN OPPORTUNITY

Based on feedback from this beautiful artistic community we want to include some opportunities for DDN creatives to talk directly about their own practice and experiences. For example, this could be:

  • an upcoming project you’re excited about
  • a previous work you’re proud of
  • an experience you learned from that you’d like to share

We are seeking short presentations of 5 minutes (max) from a range of different creatives.

If you fancy being one of the creatives sharing their work then drop us a short introduction and brief description of your talk in any format that works for you (text, video, audio etc - no more than one page of A4, max 2 mins of video or audio) to info@twocantheatre.org.uk by Monday 12th October at 2pm.

We have space for 4 creatives.

We will aim to notify successful applicants by 16th October. We can offer each creatives a fee of £50 for their presentation.

We can’t wait to connect once again on 4th November!
