The Annual GWN competition, in association with The Times and The Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival, has been launched today.

2019 COMPETITION THEME

The festival theme of ‘7 at 70′ pays homage to it’s 70th anniversary but we have simplified our writing competition theme to –

‘NUMBERS’

… This can be interpreted widely and creatively. For some tips and ideas, judges’ thoughts and how to enter, head over to our Competition section

We are also delighted to announce this year’s judges, who we think will be superb. Not only are they are both excellent at their own crafts and wonderful readers but lovely individuals whose expertise will be invaluable to those more experienced or new to writing.

 Prose Judge: Amanda Reynolds

Poetry Judge: Stephen Daniels

Please see our Competition Section for more details and ideas on how to get started..

We look forward to receiving your entries – will you be this year’s winner?

Good luck all!
