Forest of Dean poetry group, PIPs (Poets In Progress) presents 'A Night at The Bardic Arms'.
Imagine a village, any village, anywhere. Now imagine its night time and there's a storm raging. Every door is shut tight against the elements except for the olde-worlde pub where there's only one beer, Wretched Wench. Imagine the inside of the pub anyway you like but note the landlady, a homesick Welshie, her embittered bar girl and the village's three retirees, a shady psychiatrist and his drinking companion, an old sailor, and in the corner awaiting a date, the village's lothario. Now, who would you imagine walking in on this scene...?
A Night at The Bardic Arms is a prose-poetry performance examining the flawed nature of humans.
