Develop Create XR Lab is offering a fantastic (and free!) opportunity for creatives either in or looking to enter XR & immersive narrative spaces. The Lab is one of eight programmes across the UK supported by the brand-new BFI National Lottery Creative Challenge Fund; the 12 successful applicants will have all travel and accommodation paid for by Screen South in addition to a Daily Attendance Bursary of £110 applicable for the Lab days.
Taking place between September 2024 and April 2025, a diverse range of storytellers will be supported by a series of residential sessions to bring genre-driven ideas to life as playable fictive stories in the XR/VR space by a team of experienced creatives and production partners, including prolific Immersive Playable Culture specialists BRiGHTBLACK. Applications close at 9am, Wednesday 24th July 2024.
They're currently looking to reach more people in and around Bristol in relation to our upcoming Inspire & Apply sessions; prior to Develop Create XR, Screen South and BRiGHTBLACK will be visiting The Canteen, Stokes Croft, Bristol on 16th July from 6:30pm - 8pm to host a free Apply & Inspire Session.
