Any submission to our yearly competition must be the entrant’s own work or it will be invalid and a refund will not be issued.
Entries from writers who are not living, working or studying in Gloucestershire or South Gloucestershire will be deemed invalid with no refund.
The entry must not have been published in print, online or broadcast.
Entries will not be returned and entrants are advised to keep a copy of their work.
Entrants must be available to be contacted if they have won and will be required to respond by a given date if they agree to their work appearing in the competition anthology. The work, and the information supplied by the entrant to go with it, must be checked and the entrant must respond by a given date. We will not include the work if the entrant does not respond in time.
Entrants are encouraged to read their winning piece at the GWN event at The Times and The Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival or provide a substitute reader.
